While the bonds we forge with our cars are important we must not forget the bonds we forge with our fellow man. The times when we gather our cars and meet the men and women behind the wheel. With our “Meets” post, Grand Touring will be showcasing the gatherings of these enthusiasts and the love of cars they all share.
Our first “Meets” post comes to us from Torrance California where for many years now enthusiasts have been flocking to the monthly Japanese Classic Car Meet. Originally catering to classic Japanese autos, the Japanese Classic Car Meet has opened up to included all matter of cars.
From classic Sunday drivers…
and track day racers
to American Icons…
and Japanese innovations.
The event continues to grow as newer car are finding there way to the meet. Toyota had a strong showing with their all new FR-S…
and Subaru sister car, the BRZ.
While the cars seem to be the stars of the show, for many here its the chance to catch up with old friends, show off new mods, and talk about what to do next that bring them back every month.
The Torrance Japanese Classic Car Meet is a great example of the the many varying car cultures in southern California. If you are ever in the area, this is one meet not to miss.
